Built around consent, opt-out handling, and channel rules.
Overview
How it works
Most owners mean to follow up on every inquiry and quote. Then the week fills up, and a promising lead goes quiet because nobody checked back. Lead and estimate follow-up sends timely messages on a schedule you choose, in wording you approve, and stops as soon as the customer replies.
Every message is built around consent and channel rules. Texts only go to people who agreed to receive them, quiet hours are respected, and STOP and unsubscribe requests are honored. This is a discovery inquiry service: we scope it with you on request, and scope and price are confirmed in writing after a short scoping conversation.
What it looks like
A typical walkthrough
Here's an illustrative example for a plumbing business that sends estimates. The timing and wording below are placeholders; you'd choose and approve your own.
An inquiry comes in
A homeowner asks about replacing a water heater through the website form and ticks the box agreeing to text updates. You get an alert with their details right away.
A confirmation goes out
The homeowner gets an email, and a text because they consented, confirming the request was received and saying when to expect a call. The wording is the template you approved.
The estimate is sent
After the visit, you send the estimate and mark it as quoted. That starts the follow-up sequence for this customer.
A check-in a few days later
If there's no reply, a short, friendly email asks whether they have questions about the estimate. Texts wait until quiet hours end if the timing falls overnight.
The customer replies
The homeowner writes back with a question. The sequence stops automatically and you're alerted, so a person takes it from here.
Someone opts out
If a different customer replies STOP to a text or clicks unsubscribe, they're removed from further messages on that channel and the record shows why.
What it does
What it does
Follow-up sequences
A short series of check-ins after an inquiry or estimate, at intervals you choose.
Stops on reply
When a customer replies, books, or you close the lead, the remaining messages are cancelled.
Owner-approved templates
Every message uses wording you've reviewed and approved before anything is sent.
Consent-gated texting
Texts only go to people who gave consent, and STOP, START, and HELP replies are handled.
Quiet hours
Texts aren't sent overnight. Anything due during quiet hours waits until the morning.
Unsubscribe handling
Follow-up emails include a way to opt out, and opt-outs are honored and recorded.
Alerts to your team
Replies and new inquiries are sent to the right person, so a human handles the conversation.
What it can do for you
Why it can help
Consistent follow-up
Every estimate gets the same follow-up, whether it's a quiet week or your busiest one.
Less to remember
The schedule keeps track of who's due a check-in, so you don't have to.
Respectful by default
Messages stop when people reply or opt out, which keeps follow-up helpful rather than pushy.
Your voice, not a robot's
You approve the wording, so messages sound like your business.
A clearer picture
You can see which leads are mid-sequence, which replied, and which opted out.
Who it's for
Is this a good fit?
- Service businesses that send estimates or quotes and often don't hear back
- Owners who know they should follow up but rarely have time
- Teams that want follow-up to be consistent no matter who is in the office
- Businesses willing to collect consent properly before texting customers
- Probably not the right fit if you want to text or email people who haven't agreed to it, or send bulk promotions to a purchased list
How we work
From first conversation to a working setup
Discovery call
We look at how inquiries and estimates are handled today, which channels you use, and how you collect consent.
Scoping and written proposal
We agree on the triggers, the number of messages, the channels, and the tools involved. Scope and price are confirmed in writing before work starts.
Templates and setup
We draft message templates for you to edit and approve, then set up the sequences, quiet hours, and opt-out handling.
Testing
We run test leads through each path, including replies, STOP, and unsubscribes, and show you exactly what customers would receive.
Go live and adjust
Once you approve, the sequences go live. Any later changes to wording or timing are reviewed by you first.
Scope
What's included, and what isn't
Typical scope. Exactly what's included is confirmed in writing for each project.

- Email and, where consent and carrier registration are in place, text messages

- Drafted templates for you to edit and approve
- Team alerts when a customer replies
- Exact scope is confirmed in writing after a scoping conversation
Not included
- Messaging people who haven't given consent for that channel
- Bulk marketing campaigns or promotions to past customers

- Legal advice on your consent wording; we flag concerns, but your own advisor should confirm
- Replying to customer questions on your behalf without a person involved

FAQ
Questions owners ask
Will this text people who just typed their number into my form?
No. Texts only go to people who actively gave consent, such as by ticking a clearly worded box. Others can still receive email follow-up or a call from you.
What do I need before texting customers?
In the US, business texting usually needs a registered sender (A2P 10DLC) through your texting provider, plus clear consent from each person. We help you through the setup and won't turn texting on until it's in place.
Will the messages sound automated?
You approve every template, so they say what you'd say. Short, plain messages that ask a simple question tend to read most naturally.
What happens when someone replies?
Their sequence stops and you're alerted. A person on your team picks up the conversation from there.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the number of sequences, channels, and tools. Scope and price are confirmed in writing after a short scoping conversation. Texting and email providers bill their own fees separately.
